Your Responsibilities
As the Manager, Center of Excellence in the Global Finance & GBS, you will lead
a team of Business Controllers, ensuring effective people management, task
coordination, as well as optimization and standardization of processes. You will
play a pivotal role in driving efficiencies and fostering strong relationships
between Business Controllers and business owners across various functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Controllers assigned to
different Business Units and Functions, fostering a collaborative and
high-performance environment
* Oversee the allocation and prioritization of tasks within the team, ensuring
timely and accurate completion of the deliverables
* Identify skill gaps, recruit talents and plan team succession
* Drive continuous improvement and efficiency through process harmonization and
operational excellence
* Drive the optimization and standardization of financial processes and
reporting across the organization, implementing best practices to enhance
efficiency
* Actively engage with stakeholders ensuring collaboration, transparency.
Foster and promote cross-functional collaboration
* Ensure strong collaboration between Business Controllers and Business owners
to ensure alignment and value-added insights deliverables
* Guide the team in monitoring and analyzing financial performance, providing
strategic insights and recommendations to senior management
* Ensure the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports to
stakeholders and functional management teams, supporting follow-up ad hoc
analyses
* Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the
respective functions, collaborating with various departments to drive
financial efficiency and cost control
* Support and develop the KPI and target-setting processes, contributing to
financial reporting presented to the Executive Management Team and the VELUX
Board
* Provide guidance and support to Finance Business Partners, other finance
colleagues, and stakeholders in the business functions with ad hoc queries
and insights
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a master’s
degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred
* Extensive experience in business controlling or a similar role, with proven
leadership and people management skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive standardization and
optimization
* Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills,
* Proficiency in financial software and tools
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team, high attention to detail
and accuracy, and a drive to promote optimization and standardization across
the business
