Senior Frontend Engineer — Design System

At Text, product quality starts with the right building blocks. Our Design
System Team crafts and maintains the core UI components that power every
customer experience across our platform. If you care about delivering
pixel-perfect, reusable, and scalable interfaces that serve thousands of users,
this is where your impact will ripple across the entire product.

We’re not just building another component library — we are creating the
standards, guidelines, and robust front-end infrastructure that enable dozens of
teams to ship polished features fast, consistently, and accessibly. Join us and
you’ll shape the visual language and technical DNA for all future product
    experiences at Text.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    * Build, refactor, and evolve a robust, reusable library of UI components —
atomic elements, tokens, and patterns — used throughout Text’s applications.

    * Collaborate with designers, frontend engineers, and other product teams to
ensure design system adoption and best practices across all squads.

    * Review and challenge incoming requests for new components, maintaining a
    mindset of reusability and consistency.

    * Own and drive documentation, design guidelines, and developer guides to lower
the entry barrier and encourage contributions from across the org.

    * Proactively maintain, test, and improve the system — balancing feature
development with maintenance, technical debt, and new requirements.

    * Work within a collaborative, low-bureaucracy environment that values
ownership, open feedback, and pragmatic delivery.

    ,

    OUR TECH STACK

    * Languages & Frameworks: React (with TypeScript) and CSS.

    * Design & UI: Figma for design handoff, Chromatic and Storybook for component
development and documentation, and modern CSS.

    * Codebase Management: Monorepo setup using Turborepo.

    * CI/CD: Automated pipelines and deployments integrated with CI/CD workflows.

    * Testing: Focus on robust visual, unit, and integration testing within the
    component library.

    ,

    WHO YOU ARE

    * You thrive on designing and developing complex, reusable UI components, with
a meticulous eye for visual detail and consistency.

    * You are proactive, self-organized, and comfortable taking ownership, from
technical decision-making to shaping documentation and guidelines.

    * You enjoy collaborating with both engineers and designers, challenging
requirements when needed, and seeking optimal, scalable solutions.

    * You value clear documentation and understand its importance for a healthy,
    scalable design system.

    * You have a strong background in modern frontend development — ideally in a
product/SaaS environment, but candidates with strong design system or UI
library experience from other contexts are welcome.

    ,

    WHAT YOU BRING

    * Expert-level knowledge of React, TypeScript, and modern CSS.

    * Experience with component-driven development using tools like Storybook and
    Chromatic.

    * Familiarity with monorepo tooling (e.g., Turborepo) and CI/CD workflows.

    * Ability to work effectively with Figma for interpreting design requirements.

    * A collaborative approach to code reviews, onboarding, and supporting
    teammates.

    ,

    WHY THIS TEAM?

    * You’ll shape foundational UI elements used company-wide, with visible impact
    across every product and customer.

    * The work is a mix of new development, ongoing iteration, and maintenance — no
    legacy monoliths, no stagnation.

    * Your mindset and technical decisions will directly affect the usability and
quality of the entire Text platform.

    * Join a focused, friendly team where ownership is valued, silos are minimal,
and results are seen by thousands of users.

Sound like your kind of challenge? Apply and help us build the future of
frontend at Text, one component at a time.
