►Summary of the talk:
Maintaining front-end systems that take in contributions from hundreds of engineers is difficult to manage. Complexity increases, performance degrades, and the engineering team starts to slow down. In this talk, Nick Sorrentino will discuss Grammarly’s path toward solving this problem, plus his prior roles leading teams to build front-end platforms at scale. He will also cover how to create abstractions at the right level to handle several parallel work streams and set up proper ownership—for both the engineers who maintain the platform and the engineers who contribute features.
