Golden State is looking for a strategic and empathetic Director to lead our
People Operations team. In this role, you will work closely with employees and
senior level management to align with business objectives. Additionally, you
will serve as a consultant to management on human resources related issues and
anticipate needs. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, People &
Culture. This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA. Key
Responsibilities include leading and mentoring the People Operations team across
all departments and entities; consulting with line management, providing HR
guidance; analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and
policies; managing and resolving complex employee relations issues; maintaining
knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management; advising
management on employment policies; collaborating to improve working
relationships, morale, efficiency and retention; providing guidance on
restructures, workforce and succession planning; identifying training and
executive coaching needs; coordinating annual performance review process;
ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices; administering
benefit programs; overseeing leaves and ADA requests; participating in Manager
on Duty program; and other duties as assigned. Required Experience & Skills
include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; PHR/SPHR
certification preferred; 7+ years of HR experience, preferably in a union
environment; minimum 2 years people management experience; experience in
benefits administration; strong knowledge of HR policies and California
employment laws; proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; excellent
communication, problem solving, training and presentation skills; ability to
manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; and ability to work
evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed. Compensation
includes $188,000 – 199,000+ Bonus, comprehensive medical, dental and vision
